| My name is Simon, and I am trying to raise £3000+ for Leukaemia Research by competing in Weston Beach Race on October 12 this year. I am competing along with 2 other team members - Stuart Holland, and Kevin Harvey. (If you want to know a little more about the beach race look at www.wbruk.com)
We are raising money for Leukaemia Research because my cousin Mel was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia in May 2007. Sadly, just 8 months since her diagnosis, she died leaving behind a husband and 2 1/2 year old daughter. Last year, I raised £2538.78 for Leukaemia Research by doing the same race and want to raise even more this year, to help fund the massively important research that could help others who find themselves diagnosed with this horrible disease. |
